The scan will take measurements of your baby’s head circumference, abdominal circumference and femur length to ensure they are growing as expected. These measurements are used to provide an estimated weight of your baby, which can be plotted by you or your midwife onto your growth chart within your pregnancy notes. Measurements will also be taken of the amount of water around your baby and the blood flow within your baby’s cord. You will be able to see your baby in 3D, as well as 4D - which is the recording of 3D video clips. The 3D photos and 4D videos will be transferred to you following the scan by email. We do this in a secure way and will provide you with a password following the scan. You will also receive black and white 2D scan prints, as well as a scan report. You do not require a full bladder for this scan, but please note that if needed the toilet is upstairs within the building.
