Wellbeing and Gender Scan

Service Description

This scan is suitable from 16 weeks of pregnancy. ● Growth assessment: Measures your baby to ensure they are growing as expected. ● Heartbeat & Movement: View your baby’s heartbeat and observe their movements. ● Images and Report: You will receive black and white scan prints and a scan report. ● Gender Reveal: Find out your baby’s gender, or have it enclosed in a sealed envelope, to open later. The scan will take measurements of your baby to ensure they are growing as expected. You will be able to see your baby’s heartbeat as well as them moving around. During this scan the sonographer will check the gender of your baby. You can choose to find out the gender during the scan or we can provide a sticker that says “It’s a Boy!” or “It’s a Girl!” within a sealed envelope to reveal to yourselves at home or pass onto someone else to arrange your own gender reveal. If we can help your experience in any way, please ask! Please attend for this scan with a full bladder if possible. Please note the toilet is upstairs in the building. Following the scan, you will receive black and white scan prints and a scan report. If there are any concerns with the scan findings, with your consent, we will refer you to the Early Pregnancy Unit or Maternity Unit within the NHS Trust you have booked your pregnancy.
